A Circular Shoe Sole
KUORI develops a circular shoe sole that does not harm our environment, by upcycling food side streams. The sole will not produce harmful microplastics. The sole material that is rubbed off during usage will ultimately biodegrade. At the end of its lifetime the sole will be composted. This process creates bio-energy, organic compost that can be used in eco-friendly acriculture, residue biomass, and carbon dioxide. Our vision is to integrade this biomass and carbon dioxide as subtrates into the PHA-fermentation.
