Medical devices in the hospital – circular solutions beyond disposables
Disposable products in the medical sector lead to large amounts of waste with high environmental impacts due to the procurement of raw materials, the production and the incineration of hazardous waste. The aim of the project is to evaluate new innovative materials for use in the medical field. The new findings are to be compared with specific product characteristics so that circular strategies can be implemented by changing materials. The recommendations developed will be disseminated in the form of a white paper and webinars.
